    Top notch vacation experience

We have stayed at Casa Tres Amigos for a week. Upon arrival, we were blown away by this beautiful place. Pictures on the web don't justify how wonderful it is! There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spare for a few more. Beautiful woodwork throughout house with the contrast of white interior, stones and tiles. The palapa on the roof was also outstanding, with the hammock being perfect for a nap or some reading. Waking up with beautiful sunrise and the sound of waves and birds singing. Followed by a morning dip at the beach out front, or in the infinity pool. We enjoyed snorkeling at Ya Kul Lagoon, the nearby ruins at Tulum & Coba, golfing, and many great restaurants in Tulum, Akumal and Playa del Carmen. Overall, it was an amazing experience and would definitely come back or recommend it to friends and family.

    Beautiful and Perfect

We spent a week over New Year's Eve at this property and reccommend it at the highest level. It was represented to us absolutely correctly but the pictures do not live up to the beauty. It is right on the beach. Everything is new and clean. We had 4 adults and 3 teenagers and it was very roomy. The owners are a delight and very helpful. You do need a car as most restaurants and Akumal Village is a little too far to stroll, but there is a nearby beach bar that was very pleasant. Overall, an excellent vacation.

    Loved your beautiful home!

This was a GORGEOUS home, located on a wonderful beach, with great snorkeling, kayaking and other activites right out front. We have rated it a 5 stars based upon the accomodations, location, and experience. Note that the housekeeper will cook dinner for you, but we found it pricier than the lovely..and delicious...Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery in Akumal. In addition, we would have loved the opportunity to access the washer/dryer, although the housekeeper could be hired to do our launddry (we passed on this). The house is well-stocked with everything you'd want to ever need, including snorkel gear, kayak's lifevests, kitchen essentials and beyond. The house is well maintained, and the housekeeper and outside person did a great job of keeping things tidy and ready for your use. The directions to the property were spot on-but be aware when you rent a car in Cancun-we were promised one thing, and got another. Not the owners fault at all, just be careful if you are coming. The directions to the property and the local grocery stores were spot on, and made it very easy to get around. The location is convenient for day trips to Cozumel, Cancun, Chichen Itza and Tulum, as well as local activities at Akumal Bay, Yal Ku Lagoon and other places. We had dinner at Lol Ha, another winner in the area. Best snorkeling we had was right out front on the reef, after walking down the beach to the left, then drifting back. We were able to swim with sea turtles and saw gorgeous fish and a living reef (which isn't common). The owners recommended a fishing charter and he proved to be outstanding. Very personable, knowledgable and professional. We caught 8 fish, and he fileted the largest one for us to cook. One other tip-when using the oven, make sure you light the pilot before setting the temperature. If you are coming from the states, it's a bit tricky, and took me a night to figure out. The property managers were terrific as well, and we were well looked after. We give it 10 thumbs up (there were 5 of us), and will definitely return. All in all, a wonderful house and experience. Thanks!
