    Awesome!

Casa Tres Amigos was so gorgeous! As other reviewers have mentioned, the photos do not do it justice. Falling asleep to the sound and scent of the surf and waking up each morning to a sunrise over the ocean was incredible. The kitchen is fully outfitted, the bathrooms are lovely, the beds are comfortable, and best of all is the pool and beach right outside the door. Favourite elements of our stay included: daily cocktails on the palapa, reading around the pool, snorkeling and kayaking right off the beach, a fishing trip with local fisherman Carlos, the friendly and helpful Melba and Manuel, and jaunts in Chemuyil and Akumal Pueblo. Thank you for creating such a haven for us!

    Casa on the Caribbean

Beautiful Spanish-style beachfront property with all the modern amenities of home. A full sized kitchen and great room with a fantastic architecturally designed domed ceiling & sliding glass doors that open onto the deck and infinity pool. What more could one ask for? Each bedroom has its own private ensuite with rain showers, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, and daily maid service. Beautiful ocean views to wake up to each morning and swimming & snorkelling at nearby Akumel beach. The golf course is just across the highway, and the towns of Tulum and Coba are only a short drive away for shopping, restaurants, and groceries. It was a vacation I'll always remember and can't wait to bring family & friends for a return visit. Loved it, loved it, loved it

    Happy in Paradise

This was my first trip to Akumal. The pictures do not do show how beautiful the place is...I felt like it was almost too good to be true. I loved the infinity pool with the Caribbean beach in front. The snorkelling on their beach is great. We saw large turtles and the reef is well protected. Our bedroom overlooked the ocean with chairs and a table to sip our morning coffee while pondering activities for the day.The house is well supplied with everything including kayaks, bottled water, fresh daily linen and very comfortable beds. The kitchens well stocked with everything you need and more. I felt very safe where we were located and yet not too far to drive to town. Caretakers came by every day to make sure we had everything we needed. My only regret is having to leave but i will be back next year! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to share in your dream!!

    A wonderful relaxing vacation

fter a long day of travel with a stop over in Phoenix, then picking up a rental van from National in Cancun, we arrived at Casa Tres Amigos around 9:30 pm. It was a great warm feeling to have the driveway motion detecter lights light up a path to the front door.

We arrived with two other couples and were amazed with the roominess, the wide open great room and kitchen with the entire ocean facing windows opening up to the deck and infinity pool.

As late as it was we opened the fridge waiting for us was a cold Corona with lime. The day of travel was immediately washed away.

For two weeks we enjoyed a combination of eating in and enjoying the great selection of local restaurants. There was never a rush to go anywhere, we always felt relaxed and close enough for so many activities including the ruins on Tulum and Coba.

The Casa had every comfort and the space of providing quiet time to relax and reflect on this little piece of paradise.

Thank you Tres Amigos for a wonderful relaxing vacation and look forward to next year.

    Best Vacation House Ever

We immediately felt at home upon walking through the front door, it was even more beautiful than the photos. The house has a warm inviting character that allows you to completely relax and enjoy the incredible environment that is the Caribbean beaches and Yucatan peninsula. No detail has been overlooked in the house.Great layout, with ample room and privacy even for extra guests. Everything was very clean and well kept. The caretakers are professional and make you feel at home. The fantastic kitchen is a wonderful hub with an island bar that facilitates the inevitable kitchen party. Sliding doors, open right up to the pool area so you're always near the action whether cutting limes for Coronas, selecting the music or swimming in the infinity pool. The environmentally protected sand dunes offer some nice privacy from beach walkers, but don't impede the spectacular views. The rooftop palapa is a stunning place to view the sunrise or sunset. Activities include amazing swimming and snorkeling right outside the door. I saw a sting-ray and hundreds of tropical fish and coral. The owners were very helpful with recommendations for places of interest in the area from restaurants to sightseeing. Ancient ruins, cenotes (fresh water sinkholes), cave tours, and tree-top zip lines are only a short distance away (10-30 minute drive). We had the trip of a lifetime and would highly recommend this property.

    Everyone was blown away

We arrived in the dark, and before we even got out of our rented vehicle, we were astounded by the greeting we got from the back entrance of this most fabulous home. The stars were shinning above, the warm breezes were blowing, and the artistic lighting that shone on the steps, and around the door, made you want to forget your suitcases, run up the stairs and just pinch yourself......to think that this place was yours for the next 14 days.....and we were not even in the door yet. When you open the back door, and enter......everyone was blown away, at the decadence of everything, it was clean, spacious, inviting, beautiful, something way beyond anything we have ever expected. It truly is something out of the movies......we felt we won the lottery. The architecture is so beautiful...you are delighted with every room, and it is amazingly tasteful, and very classy. The bedrooms are beyond wonderful, and the view......well, how can you tell people about that view, until they come and experience it for themselves. Its like trying to tell someone , what the smell of the ocean is like. Or how do you tell someone about the sunrises,...which we experienced, every morning, coffee in hand, camera ready, snuggled in those wonderful comfy deck chairs that face the ocean from a birds eye view. We watched the sun gently remove the stars from the sky, paint the heavens, in peaches, soft pinks, clouds turning from gray to purple to orange to yellow. It is a gift from God every morning for all to witness. So before you even get up, you are celebrating being there. The term Sian "kaan, means birth of the sun. This is the best place to witness the start of every new day!!! If you like sunshine, soft ocean breezes, good company, a safe place to enjoy friends, creating delicious meals in a decadent kitchen, beaches to walk, amazing clean restaurants, oceans to swim in, and the most beautiful place to experience your most precious time....Come to Casa Tres Amigos....Everything is close by that you need, Most places speak English, and you will come home, dreaming of the day that you can go back! - Wanting to share this place with so many, so they too, can enjoy a place so wonderful. We are booked in advance to return, and God willing, it will become a second home for all of our family and friends. Salute!!! Cheers, and God bless!!!!

All we could have wished for!

We had a great time with our family at this beautiful Beach front Casa. Our kids (10 and 13) had the time of their lives with the beach just steps away. The beautiful pool is a welcome treat after a day of snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing. The bedrooms are all very spacious and comfortable. Perfect location, very clean, tastefully decorated and after having opened the huge sliding doors to the pool area and beach, you can assure a relaxing time with a glass of wine.

    Top notch vacation experience

We have stayed at Casa Tres Amigos for a week. Upon arrival, we were blown away by this beautiful place. Pictures on the web don't justify how wonderful it is! There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room to spare for a few more. Beautiful woodwork throughout house with the contrast of white interior, stones and tiles. The palapa on the roof was also outstanding, with the hammock being perfect for a nap or some reading. Waking up with beautiful sunrise and the sound of waves and birds singing. Followed by a morning dip at the beach out front, or in the infinity pool. We enjoyed snorkeling at Ya Kul Lagoon, the nearby ruins at Tulum & Coba, golfing, and many great restaurants in Tulum, Akumal and Playa del Carmen. Overall, it was an amazing experience and would definitely come back or recommend it to friends and family.

    Beautiful and Perfect

We spent a week over New Year's Eve at this property and reccommend it at the highest level. It was represented to us absolutely correctly but the pictures do not live up to the beauty. It is right on the beach. Everything is new and clean. We had 4 adults and 3 teenagers and it was very roomy. The owners are a delight and very helpful. You do need a car as most restaurants and Akumal Village is a little too far to stroll, but there is a nearby beach bar that was very pleasant. Overall, an excellent vacation.

    Loved your beautiful home!

This was a GORGEOUS home, located on a wonderful beach, with great snorkeling, kayaking and other activites right out front. We have rated it a 5 stars based upon the accomodations, location, and experience. Note that the housekeeper will cook dinner for you, but we found it pricier than the lovely..and delicious...Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery in Akumal. In addition, we would have loved the opportunity to access the washer/dryer, although the housekeeper could be hired to do our launddry (we passed on this). The house is well-stocked with everything you'd want to ever need, including snorkel gear, kayak's lifevests, kitchen essentials and beyond. The house is well maintained, and the housekeeper and outside person did a great job of keeping things tidy and ready for your use. The directions to the property were spot on-but be aware when you rent a car in Cancun-we were promised one thing, and got another. Not the owners fault at all, just be careful if you are coming. The directions to the property and the local grocery stores were spot on, and made it very easy to get around. The location is convenient for day trips to Cozumel, Cancun, Chichen Itza and Tulum, as well as local activities at Akumal Bay, Yal Ku Lagoon and other places. We had dinner at Lol Ha, another winner in the area. Best snorkeling we had was right out front on the reef, after walking down the beach to the left, then drifting back. We were able to swim with sea turtles and saw gorgeous fish and a living reef (which isn't common). The owners recommended a fishing charter and he proved to be outstanding. Very personable, knowledgable and professional. We caught 8 fish, and he fileted the largest one for us to cook. One other tip-when using the oven, make sure you light the pilot before setting the temperature. If you are coming from the states, it's a bit tricky, and took me a night to figure out. The property managers were terrific as well, and we were well looked after. We give it 10 thumbs up (there were 5 of us), and will definitely return. All in all, a wonderful house and experience. Thanks!
